Quality Bed & Breakfast

Where we are

Our local village Brookeborough, is located off the main A4 Belfast to Enniskillen road. If you type our postcode, BT944AL into Mapquest, you will find us. If you are using a GPS system to get to us, we recommend you follow the written directions below when you get to Brookeborough. Our postcode covers a wide area, and we have found that GPS directions leaving Brookeborough are not accurate.

If you are arriving from the Belfast direction on the A4, you will take the 1st left hand sign for Brookeborough, the B515. Go to the mini roundabout, turn left and up a hill, passing the Chapel and a school. Follow this road for no more than half a mile until you come to the first tarmaced road on the right, just before a right hand bend. ( Not the concrete driveway.) Take this road and travel for 2 miles (3.2 km). Aisling House is on the left hand side of the road with black gates and fencing.

If you are travelling from Enniskillen, on the A4, ignore the first 2 signs for Brookeborough on the right and take the 3rd turn off, B515, and follow above directions.

If you are coming from the Dublin/Cavan direction, you will come through Enniskillen, and then follow the directions as above.

Travelling to Ireland

If you are planning to come by car or motor bike, you will be travelling to Ireland by Ferry.

Your Ferry from the UK mainland will either depart from :-

Cairnryan or Stranraer (Scotland) – to Larne or Belfast
Liverpool – Dublin or Belfast
Holyhead – DunLaoghaire
Fishguard – Rosslare

If you are intending travelling from any of these locations, can we recommend booking through Nutt Travel  for the most competitive prices, we use them for all ferry crossings.

The journey from Belfast to us is very straightforward, pick up the M1 West, signed Enniskillen, and at Brookeborough, follow the above directions.                               Journey time approx 1hr 30mins.

If you are arriving at the port of Dunlaoghaire, please let me know. I can give you up to date directions to the M50 and N3. New junctions onto the motorway have been opened recently, but the road signs haven't been altered yet. If you end up in the middle of Dublin it's an absolute nightmare trying to get out, I've been there !!!    Journey time approx 2hrs 30mins .

Tips for using the roads in Ireland

• Always assume your journey will take longer than you think!  Irish roads are not straight,  and there are very few motorways.

• Whilst travelling in the South of Ireland top up on petrol, on average you will pay around  20p per litre less than in the UK.

• If travelling from Dun Laoghaire have Euro coins with you to pay the toll on the M50, currently €2.00 for a car and, since the 1st August 2008, absolutely nothing  for a motorcycle.
