Ken can give bikers information on some of the “must-do on a motor bike” journeys, including of course to Portrush, where the famous “North West 200” takes place.
For energetic walkers part of the Ulster Way is close to hand, but there are also many more gentle strolls by the Lough or through the forests. However for real walking pleasure and to get rid of the cobwebs, we would thoroughly recommend the beautiful Donegal coastline, taking in some of the amazing beaches with rolling Atlantic waves. Why not take the plunge and try a lesson or two in surfing!!!
If you enjoy boats, then take a trip to Carrick on Shannon. After strolling around the lovely shops, check out the many cruisers based at the marina.
Also, a recommended visit is to the Ulster American Folk Park just outside Omagh, to hear and experience the migration in the 18th & 19th Centuries from Ulster, of many families hopeful of making a better life in America. There are a series of live events every season.
If you would like to find out more about Irish lace and China then visits to the Lace Museum at Bellanaleck and the Belleek China Shop are a must.

At Irish Bears you can visit the Gift shop and workshops of Anke Morgenroth who is the founder of this famous centre for hand-made mohair teddy bears and other lovely hand-made gifts.
Perhaps you are interested in the growing area of eco-tourism. If so we would encourage you to have a look at our most prestigious eco-business and working farm Orchard Acre Have a look before you arrive to see what events Teresa and her team are offering.
Just across the border in Cavan there are several venues hosting regular events of traditional Irish music and song; check out Cavanmusic for what’s on during your stay.

We do have leaflets in Aisling House informing you of what’s going on and places of interest, but you can also find out a lot more at Find Fermanagh
